In order to get a rating that allowed 15-year-olds to see the film in England (like past releases of the film), the movie had to be cut a little. Since it is, as usual from Paramount, a Europe-wide release including several languages other countries had to live with the cuts as well.

Furthermore the soundeffect during the fight in the toilet have been reduced in volume. They are still present just not as loud. This is not mentioned below. (Thanks to Gavin Salkeld for providing this information)

The hit anime/manga series "Naruto" has fans all over the world. So it was no surprise that the anime was licensed in the USA. But for the broadcasting on Cartoon Network some edits had to be done, mostly affecting violence. But not only that, some scenes were only overhauled to look better.

With his second film "The Devil's Rejects" director Rob Zombie created a modern exploitation movie that comes up with a lot of sex and explicit violence. Under those circumstances the MPAA demanded massive cuts for the R-Rating.

In occasion of the over a wide area marketed and reshown Director's Cut of part 1 the fourth and, to date, final part of the Alien saga was published over the course of the rerelease on DVD in an extended version in 2003. Contrary to the other three films, the long version of the fourth installment contains the slightest changes.
